As an example, using diverse techniques, we are able to characterize in detail the amino-acid sequence of a protein, their mutations and their post-translational and chemical modifications. All this information is important to understand the behavior of proteins in the cell. The variability and fluctuations of these modifications on biogically active proteins results in the study of very complex systems. These techniques allow also to obtain informations on how the proteins interact each to the other by the determination of the stoichiometry, stability and ?????.
